The MBTA Haverhill Line connects Haverhill to Lawrence by commuter rail. Lawrence Station is about half a mile from the courthouse. This makes the Lawrence court the most practical option for Haverhill residents who do not drive. Parking in Lawrence is available at two paid lots near the courthouse and a paid garage next to the building. Metered street parking is also around. Keep in mind that the Lawrence registry closes from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM every day for a break. Plan to arrive before 1:00 PM or after 2:00 PM if you need counter service.

You can also skip the trip entirely and file through eFileMA. The system handles many types of probate filings online. There is a one-time $22.00 provider fee for new cases. After that, additional filings in the same case have no extra eFiling fee.
